Guess what is coming to town ?

The NZ Bridge Congress committee run this event, not local clubs, but we will be called upon to provide local support when needed.  One of the most important will be for us to provide standby players and caddies.  At the start of every event, the Congress organisors need to have players waiting in case there is an odd number of players, or someone is sick.  This will be voluntary, but many do get a game, which of course is free for standby pairs. Caddies are paid.

Bridge players in the Region who are not playing, will have the chance to watch the best of the best in NZ and from overseas and are welcome to come along and kibitz.

It is exciting and something I know the locals will support.  The Management at Baypark are as excited as we are and plan to market our event as well. This will be so good for our community.

If anyone wishes to offer the organisors sponsorship, specialised support or manpower, please contact Karen Martelletti who is on the Congress committee and will be the local liaison.

NZB will contact the local clubs closer to the time, but in the meantime let us all get behind this wonderful event and show off our Region !
