The Tauranga Bridge Club, in consultation with New Zealand Bridge and the Waikato Bays Regional Committee, has made the decision to move our Mini Congress online and run it on Real Bridge. Please note masterpoints will be awarded as if the event was being held face-to-face. We invite all players to take part in the event. Caroline Wiggins will be our Director.
This decision to shift online was not taken lightly. However, having listened to yesterday's Government announcement we felt it was prudent to enable people to play bridge from home rather than travelling and therefore potentially increasing their risk of exposure to COVID-19.
Events will start at 10:00am NZT each day. The final format and session times will be confirmed once entries are known. Participants will be sent a RealBridge session link each day by email which they will need to click on to join the Tauranga Mini Congress.
The good news is that playing online means we have been able to reduce the entry fees. These are now as follows:
Or take advantage of one of our special Weekend Deals
Entries close at 11:59pm on Wednesday 26th January. Registration is essential.
Playing on RealBridge is great fun. It is a bit like combining Bridge Base Online and Facetime or Zoom. You can see and talk to other players, have a chat with your teammates before and after matches and enjoy bridge from the comfort of your own home. All you need is a tablet, laptop or computer, preferably with camera and microphone, and an Internet connection.
For anyone new to RealBridge we suggest you read through their player guide and test your camera and microphone Click here to go to the Real Bridge Player Guide.
