The Auckland Bridge Club hosted the Auckland/Northland Regional Pairs 10A Pairs on the Saturday 19 July. Congratulations to Christine Gibbons & Jenna Gibbons who came 15th.

The Tauranga Bridge Club hosted the National 20A Swiss Pairs on the weekend. This tournament is run by NZ Bridge and comprises of nine 12-board matches run over 2 days. Congratulations to Christine Gibbons & Jenna Gibbons who came 3rd and Stephen Francks & Amanda Matthews who came 7th.

The Hamilton Bridge Club held there 5A Open Swiss Pairs online this year. The tournament was held over three sessions on three Wednesday evenings on 18 June, 25, June & 2 July 2025. Each session was made up of three nine-board matches. Congratulations to Cathy Parker & Deidre Gunn who wone 4 out of 9 matches.

The Morrinsville Open 8B Pairs was held on Saturday 28 June. Congratulations to Norm Silcock & Ruth Sweatman who came 4th. They also cam 1st in the Open/Intermediate section!

The fourth and final round of the Bay of Plenty Pairs was hosted by Te Puke on Sunday 22 June. Congratulations to Graham Young & Judy Pawson who came 1st, and Rosemary Wilkey & Tina Dudley who came 3rd.

The Bay of Plenty Pairs was hosted over four tournaments hosted by Whakatane, Tauranga, Mt Maunganui and Te Puke ending on Sunday 22 June at Te Puke. To qualify for the Bay Pairs, you need to play four sessions and be a member at a Bay of Plenty brdge club. The final results are below... Congratulations to Jenna Gibbons & Christine Gibbons who came 2nd, Bren Birss & Graham Stern who came 3rd and Rosemary Wilkey & Tina Dudley who came 5th.

NZ Bridge held a 5A Open Swiss Pairs on Matariki Day. This was a fundraiser to raise funds for our international players. New Zealand’s top bridge players have the skill, the dedication, and the drive to compete internationally — but getting there isn’t cheap. Unlike other countries where elite play is fully funded, our players have to fund most of their expenses out of their own pockets.
